Remington’s Virtually Indestructible Foil Shaver 5100
is a masterclass in saying what they do and doing what they say.
3 Years ago, I bought a series of shavers to keep my head cleaned up. Like most morons, I started with a brand that was being widely advertised that is not up to the standard of the Remington that this article is about. When it randomly broke, they didn’t even reply to my email about it. I upgraded slightly…and the next one just didn’t shave well.
So I stopped shopping via ads, forgot everything I thought I knew about razors and did some research. This self education told me foil razors do a better job, and I didn’t have to spend a hundred bucks to get a good quality shave.
Because I break things with wild abandon (I am a bit of a rough and tumble sort and am clumsy to boot), the name of the Virtually Indestructible Foil Shaver by Remington caught my eye. I looked it up and it had solid reviews. On top of that, it was around $50.
It couldn’t hurt to try. I ordered it, and it was promptly delivered.
It did a good job of cutting hair.
BUT.
On the third shave, I bumped into the wall while shaving my head and dropped it.
Virtually indestructible my ass. It broke.
But looking the way it broke made me think, what a freak accident.
So going against history and my better judgement, I wrote Remington an email and told them about it. They asked for my proof of purchase and a proof of the breakage. So I sent it in and expected to hear nothing back.
3 days later I got my replacement.
3 years later, I still love what a great job this thing does shaving my head.
I might need to get new blades though.
A great example of what a Blue Ribbon Team Product is. I just wish they had an affiliate program. I would love to sell this product.
THIS IS NOT A PAID ADVERTISEMENT. Remington earned these words.
