When I was trying to decide who I wanted to write a review of today, I remembered how excited I was recently to begin an affiliate relationship with Blick Art Supplies at my art page. (StepBastard)
The reason I was so excited, is because this is a company that I not only use…but absolutely LOVE.
I wish I could remember when I first found them…because unlike the lucky folks that live in San Diego, Seattle, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami, Austin, Atlanta, Baltimore, Berkeley, Boulder, Brooklyn, Cambridge, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Costa Mesa, Dallas, Denver, Evanston, Fort Lauderdale, Glendale, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Madison, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oakland, Pasadena, Portland, Providence, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Santa Monica, Savannah, St. Louis, Tacoma, Tampa, Washington D.C.; the artistic residents that live in Indianapolis, Indiana…
Well we don’t have a Blick Art Supplies of our own.
Anyway, if you read my reviews, especially if you see my Karenesque reviews on Google from before I started this page (and a few more recent), you will find that I can and will usually find something to complain about. I don’t mind spending my money to get what I want. I do however expect things to be right.
Enter Blick.
I have been ordering art supplies from Blick for years. Especially specialty paints like gouache. Here is what I have found consistently.
Customer Service- Every single interaction I have had with Blick has been friendly and helpful. Granted, my personal interactions have been minimal as I am an online customer, and they get things right so often that I seldom have to even use their chat to ask a question. But what I have used has been perfect.
Product Quality- I have never returned a product bought through Blick, and everything I have bought from there has been what it was advertised to be. Again, perfect.
Store Cleanliness- I have never been in one of their physical stores. That said, if they are organized like their website, I cannot imagine them being anything but immaculate.
Pricing- Blicks prices are competitive. They aren’t super cheap, but quality products are priced like other stores store brands. Definitely fair pricing. Plus they runs sales pretty much non stop.
Online Experience- I mean, my grumpy ass loves them…so that tells the tale. They deliver quick, their free shipping barriers are nice and low, they carry literally everything an artist could need.
Overall Experience- I would say that if you are buying art supplies, you cannot miss with Blick. This is exactly the kind of company the Blue Ribbon Team things others should aspire to.
